Have questions about the Road Trip? Please see below the answers to some frequently asked questions.

How much does the event cost?

The event is free to register!

Do I have to pre-register for the event?

Yes, you’ll need to register ahead of time for your preferred session time & camera. We have limited spots available in each session.

What Canon gear will be available on-site?

You’ll have your choice of the EOS R7, R10, R3, R5 C, R5 & R6 when registering for your session; based on available quantities. We’ll also have a variety of RF & EF lenses, adapters, and flashes to support your experience.

What do I need to bring with me?

You’ll need to bring your confirmation email and government issued photo ID. Feel free to bring your own EF or RF lens and compatible SD card, please see section below for compatible versions.

Is there a difference between this Road Trip & previous Road Trips?

Yes, this fall, Canon will be introducing a new in-studio experience which allows Canon lovers & enthusiasts to test drive the newest gear in a studio environment. Canon will also be introducing brand new gear on this Road Trip.

Where should I park for the event I am attending?

Please research parking locations specific to your event location in advance so you can identify free and paid parking options in the area.

What steps are you taking as it relates to health and safety of participants?

What is your sanitization protocol between users?

All EOS R trial gear will be sanitized with 70% isopropyl alcohol and all high-touch surface areas will be sanitized with disinfectant.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

Outdoor ‘Open Shoot’ experiences will be cancelled if there is inclement weather (i.e. heavy rain/snow) the day of your event. The Canon events team will contact you with a cancellation notice via SMS and/or email. Please make sure you check your spam folder to avoid missing event updates. Unfortunately, event dates will not be rescheduled.

Am I allowed to bring a friend, guest or child?

If you are registered for the Open Shoot environment, feel free to bring your own subject to capture, however, we ask that they stay outside the studio. This ensures we keep our sessions small.

What if I would like to take my photos home with me?

If you would like to keep your trial photos, please bring a personal SD card. Compatible versions are:
– CFExpress cards (Type-B) – EOS R5, R5 C & R3 only
– SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards
– UHS-II & UHS-I
– Prograde Digital V60

Am I allowed to select different gear on site?

You are only confirmed to test drive gear you selected during registration and on-site check-in. However, if there is extra sanitized gear available and time left in your session, you’re welcome to test drive more than one product.
