We’re excited to announce a unique Socality x Canon Creator Lab creative experience at the Banff Gondola in collaboration with Pursuit featuring a brand new immersive experience called “Nightrise”.
Join us on December 5th where you’ll have the opportunity to connect with the local creative community for an evening of wonder on top of Sulphur Mountain. This private event will offer the opportunity to explore and capture the new Nightrise experience. This experience merges multimedia, storytelling and nature for a new and inspiring perspective at such an iconic Banff location. Created by Montreal’s Moment Factory with the participation of the Stoney Nakoda Nation, Nightrise brings the nighttime silence and wonder of the Canadian Rockies to life in unforgettable ways.
Your ticket includes your gondola ride up and down, beverages (beer, wine, cocktails included) and charcuterie and snacks.
As part of the Canon Creator Lab program, a variety of Canon gear will be available to try including new mirrorless bodies and the latest lenses. If you’d like to borrow Canon equipment to shoot during the event, please bring your own SD Card and a valid piece of government ID. A limited amount of gear will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
Note: Food and drinks will be served in a private room which you will have access to for the duration of the event.

Whether your interest lies in photography, video, social media, or another creative discipline, these events are inclusive and open to everyone, regardless if you’re just starting out on your creative journey or have been in the industry for years.
This event will be great for anyone looking to:
- Expand their creative network and meet others in the creative industry and community in Alberta and beyond.
- Capture images / video in and around the Banff Gondola and area in a fun and social atmosphere.
- Try out a variety of Canon gear, including mirrorless bodies and lenses.

- As per the Alberta Government Restriction Exemption Program – proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test result within 72 hours of your visit is required. Albertans will require a scannable QR code as part of current regulations.
- Please dress for outdoor winter conditions as this event will take place outdoors for a portion of the event.
- All gear available for use will be sanitized before and after each check-out.
