Terms and conditions
1. Promotional Products, Participating Retailers, Promotional Period and Participants
1.1. This promotion is a Canon Canada Inc. (“Canon”) Rediscover Canada Sales Event 2025, which offers special pricing on select products listed below in Schedule 1 (the “Promotional Products”) within Canada from one of our participating retailers and as set out in Schedule 2 (“Participating Retailers”) between 00:00 (EST) Friday, May 9th, 2024, and 23:59 (EST) Thursday, May 29th, 2025, inclusive (the “Promotional Period”). All other products and retailers are excluded. Some Promotional Products may be sold as a camera or printer only or part of a bundle. Purchases must be genuine purchases for cash or its equivalent. Only Promotional Products sold by Participating Retailers are eligible for this promotion. Some Participating Retailers may operate marketplaces that allow other sellers to sell their products. Products purchased on these marketplaces are not eligible for this promotion. In addition, Promotional Products purchased through an enterprise commercial sales program are ineligible for this promotion. Any attempt to gain participation in this promotion without satisfying the requirements mentioned above shall be deemed invalid as determined by Canon in its sole discretion.
1.2. All Participants must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in Canada (“Participant”).
1.3. All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.4. All Promotional Products must be new and genuine Canon products. Purchases of second-hand, refurbished, or reconditioned products, or products that are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or “grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion.
2. How to participate
2.1. The Participant must purchase a Promotional Product or Products from a Participating Retailer during the Promotional Period within Canada between 00:00 (EST) Friday, May 9th, 2025, and 23:59 (EST) Thursday, May 29th, 2025.
2.2. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last. Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.
2.3. Canon will not honor any Promotional Products pricing purchased after the closing date of 23:59 (EST) on Thursday, May 29th, 2025.
3. The promoter
3.1. The promoter is Canon with its registered office address at 8000 Mississauga Road, Brampton, ON L6Y 5Z7.
4. Disclaimers
4.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.
4.2. In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void, amend, and/or change this promotion at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.
4.3. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
4.4. If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4.5 Canon, its associated companies, affiliates, suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies, and any other entity or entities involved in the development, production, administration or fulfillment of this promotion, and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) will not be liable for: (i) any failure of the Canon website or any other site during this promotion; (ii) any malfunctions or other problems of any nature whatsoever, including, without limitation, those relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; (iii) the failure of any Promotional Product registration, opt-in and/or other information to be received, captured or recorded for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website; (iv) any injury or damage to a Participant’s or any other person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in this Promotion; and/or (v) any combination of the above.
4.6 By participating in this promotion, each Participant hereby: (i) confirms compliance with these terms; (ii) releases the Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this promotion and his/her participation therein; and (iii) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, statements about the promotion and/or photograph or other likenesses without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of Canon in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet.
5. Data
5.1. agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing, and using any personal and other information submitted only for the purpose of administering the promotion and in accordance with Canon’s privacy policy (available at the link below). This section does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide Canon or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their personal information. Canon is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. Any personal data submitted to Canon will be processed by Canon and its associated companies for marketing purposes in cases where Participants have opted-in to receive marketing communication from Canon. 5.2. If Participants do not wish for their contact information to be used for marketing purposes or to enable Canon to contact them in the future regarding similar promotions, they should NOT check the relevant “opt-in” box when completing the claim form.

6. Law and jurisdiction
This promotion shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. The forum for any disputes relating to this promotion shall be the Province of Ontario and you agree to attorn to the courts in the Province of Ontario and they agree that all legal proceedings in respect of this promotion shall be commenced and maintained only in the courts of the said province.
