Canon Creator Lab 10 Year Photobook | Open Call

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN.

As a Canon Creator Lab member, you’ve earned your place in our program’s history—now let’s make it official. To celebrate ten years, we’re publishing our first-ever photo book: a curated collection of photography from across the Creator Lab community.

And we want your work to be part of it.

If your work is selected, you’ll:

• See it published in our first ever community photo book

• Have it displayed at our official launch gallery (details coming soon)

• Receive a complimentary hardcover copy of the book

• Be invited to celebrate the launch in person with the community

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

You may submit up to five images in total, one for each of the following categories:

  • basketball hoop against a fence in the twilight

    PLAY

    (revel · experiment · free · release)

Play is freedom in motion, joyful or focused, but never contained. Where does play reside in your frame—is it in your subjects, or does it translate through your own creative experimentation behind the lens?

  • friends walking on a beach and another picture of a group of friends feet on the beach

    TOGETHER

    (share · bond · embrace · comfort)

Together is presence: tethered, passionate, nostalgic, or empathetic. Not always an embrace, togetherness can be passive, involuntary, or even tense. In what way do your subjects occupy shared space?

  • woman's silhouette against the sunset

    LOST

    (stumble · drift · fear · grieve)

Lost is both a place and a feeling: absence, disorientation, or the ache of searching for something—or someone—just out of reach. One can be lost, but not alone. What does it look like to lose the way, or to find it?

  • man posing against a railing of a boat

    UP

    (perceive · soar · muse · rise)

Up can be a direction, a feeling, or a point of view. It might be the movement of a climb, flight, or ascent; a moment that feels hopeful, encouraging, or uplifting; or an angle that alters perception. What does this type of elevation look like to you?

  • car driving in the snowy night

    JOURNEY

    (explore · transition · endure · prevail)

A journey is the distance between where we begin and who we become—some of it crossed on foot, some of it weathered beneath the surface. What passage have you captured? How has the transition changed the view along the way?

  • WHO CAN SUBMIT

Photographers of all skill levels are welcome to submit! To make sure your submissions are eligible, please make sure that:
