WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE PROGRAM

Canon FUTURES runs from August 2023 to July 2024. This unique hybrid program is delivered through monthly exclusive virtual workshops, assignments, an in-person immersive retreat, and industry mentorships. FUTURES requires dedication and approximately 10-15 hours of focus every month.

To make the most of this opportunity, be prepared to invest your time, create original work, and share your journey, challenges, and triumphs with your FUTURES community.

HOW IT WORKS

After applications close on July 7th, our panellists in collaboration with the Canon Canada team will choose 20 talented creators to join our next FUTURES class.

Canon Canada will equip FUTURES creators with the tools they need to successfully participate in the program, and our curriculum kicks-off in August 2023.

Special to FUTURES is an exclusive all-expenses-paid in-person creative retreat with mentorship from Canon Ambassadors, to a beautiful destination in Canada. Check out our video below from last year’s retreat in Banff, Alberta!

WHAT YOU GET

FUTURES workshops are designed to give you first-hand insider industry insights, portfolio and skill-building assignments, and most importantly, connections with like-minded creative peers.

The 20-hand selected creators can expect:

  • Exclusive mentorship from industry leading experts
  • Insights into building your creative business
  • Coaching in marketing and branding
  • Developing your technical knowledge
  • Growing your multi-disciplinary skills
  • Guidance on curating your portfolio
  • Learn mindfulness techniques to help prioritize your mental health as a creative
  • Their very own Canon Creator Kit featuring an EOS R System mirrorless camera and RF lenses

By the end of the program year, you will have the tools and knowledge to grow your personal brand and business as a young creator. This program is free to apply and is free to participate for those who are accepted.
