Is the FUTURES program free?

Yes! It’s free to apply and free to participate for those who are selected.

How many times can I apply?

Only one submission is required per applicant. If you apply more than once, our panellists will review your first submission only.

When can I apply for next year?

Applications for the next year of our FUTURES program will open in Spring

Is the program open to English applicants only?

FUTURES is open to both English and French participants. However, all of our workshops and content will be delivered in English.

Who is eligible to apply for the program?

We’re looking for Canadian creators who are in the early stages of their professional careers. FUTURES is designed to support and foster the next generation of young storytellers in developing their personal brands and businesses.

How many creators will be selected for the program?

We are accepting 20 creators for this program.

When will I hear if I’ve been accepted or not?

The creators selected for the program will be contacted by August 2, 2024. All program applicants, whether accepted on not, will hear from us by the beginning of August.

What is the time commitment per month?

There will be 1-4 workshops each month, with 1-3 related assignments per month. Creators should allocate roughly 10-15 hours per month for the FUTURES program, with the exception of the 3-day in-person retreat.

What if I can’t commit 1 year to this program?

We ask that you only apply if you are willing and able to dedicate the full 12-months to the program. We want our creators to get every last bit of knowledge, and this can only be achieved if the full 12-month program is completed.

What do I need to do to graduate from the Futures program?

To graduate from the program we need to see you grow! To do that, you must work closely with the program mentors and complete all of the workshops and assignments.

If selected, do I get to keep the gear?

Yes! All selected FUTURES creators get to keep their welcome kit after the program concludes.
